Torn back leg! DOG ATTACK

After a few days, you may notice "yellow" chunks on her wound. Leave those. That is a good sign of tissue granulation.
After a day or two, you can apply Blu-kote. Remember..IT Stains EVERYTHING it touches.
In the meantime,, If you notice she doesn't want to eat tomorrow, bring in a GF. That will lift her spirits.
Keep her out of the dirt and allow her supervised time with the flock.
You don't want her to loose her flock position.
If nights are a good time, put her to roost with them but, pull her from the Run/free range time unless your supervising.
She will heal QUICK.
The blu-kote color will also keep the others being attracked to the Red leg.
Someone said to not put the bandage anymore and others said yes. What do you think? Shes not picking at the cut. She is inside. Sometimes flies to come in my house but its clean. Shes inside a clean bin with clean water and clean food.

No bandage. Leave it OTA.

YOU GOT THIS!!!!
I'm sorry this happened to your baby.
It's a heart wrenching experience that's for sure.
Your doing a GREAT Job
It is horrible. I have never experienced any type of cuts on my chickens.... This almost put me into shock. I want to make sure maggots dont happen or i will loose my mind

You could wrap it in a few days only if its gooey and shes outside. Use a Non stick gauze and a self stick wrap. The dollar Tree has this. Using Tape is a Monster to get off. I buy the Coban ( self stick) ace wrap in the horse section at TS
Now, you have to make yourself a Chicken ER kit! We all have them.
Walmart has a twin pk of Triple Antibiotic cheap.

Yes, I was too when mine first happened. I thought for sure I would have to Cull her.
My Big girls cornered my 8 week Polish and left her for dead in a corner of her own blood. I gave her heart compressions for a weak, thready pulse. It was terrible. They scalped her, ripped her neck open to the muscle and tendons and when I trimmed her back feathers, they tore her back up! If it wasn't for LaFleche on this forum, I don't know if she would be alive. She is 9 weeks recovered and Just went outside last week. Both BFFs are forever separated from the Big Girls in their own coop. I'll check in on you tomorrow.
