Tornados in Mississippi and Tennessee

My Aunt lives near where it hit in Akansas real hard. I hop trhat she's ok, I'm going to call in just a bit.

When the rain hit last night we realized that 3 chickens had hid out and weren't closed up for the evening so Garrison and I went out to get them put up. We only had really hard winds and rain and it scared me to death b/c of it's intensity. I almost couldn't even open or then shut the door to the coop!
The power went out so I covered the incubator with towls and that worked real well until the power came back up.

It sounds like there are around 45 people dead so far. We all need to pray for their families and also anyone else who is still out there and not yet found.

I hope all of y'all are ok.

It hit pretty hard on the other side of Williamson County, but it didn't even rain here until the very last line of storms went over. I wish everyone else could have been so lucky.

Where I'm at we dodged a major bullet. But down the road is a different story. Major damage! Just dropped the kids at school and on the radio 99.7fm a woman called and said she was executing her right to free speech, saying the college in TN, being a Baptist college, proves that there is power in prayer. Maybe it is no coincidence that the students were spared.
I'm sure there were lots of prayers going up. I eventually had to go to bed said my prayer for safety for my family, let go and let God. Having faith that we would see no harm and realizing this morning that I had one of the best nights of sleep that I've seen in a long time. Coincidence? Some would argue the fact. But not me, no coincidence...faith!
My heart goes out to those who did loose loved ones.

I prayed myself to sleep last night as well. God's solution was to have my mom call me at 2pm and tell me to get my heinie out of bed, a tornado was 10 minutes down the street.

I stumbled around putting the dogs and cat in the safe crates. Turned out to be one of those funky rotation on radar things and did nothing here. While I'm glad we have the radar ability to see these things, I think we need another whole category of warning now.

Watch- conditions are favorable
Warning- rotation on radar
Holy Chickens! Run for cover!- That sucker's on the ground and coming your way.

Thankfully everything around here is just soggy. Prayers going up for those hit though. It was really bad in many places.

I'm hoping everyone is OK. This weather is really strange - here it's 65 degrees and very windy. Normally it should be in the low 30s.

Here at our house all we had was some downed branches. Nothing big. We had our patio furniture end up strewn across the yard, but again, no big deal. But, one of the nasty part of the storms was just too close for comfort.

This is the same front that came thru Arkansas....take cover when they tell you...have a safe place figured out...
I know ya'll are used to the warnings like us...but trust me...after last year...I take EVERYONE seriously!
We are praying everyone stays safe.
