Our local mill makes "Duck and Goose Maintenance", and it seems to work well for us. I also feed them all the raw vegetable scraps from the kitchen, and they eat grass and dandelions now that the ground is thawed.

Only thing we can get is Purina, they must have the monopoly on this part of the country, so I buy Flock Raiser, I use it to make Fermented feed .

I was all excited because my feed store started to carry Mazuri Waterfowl. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on a bag and tried to get them to eat it for two straight weeks. No takers. I guess they like the cheap stuff.

So Mr. Goose was not snotty at all tonight. Emptied out his pool and changed the water. He was loving it. So now Miss goose has decided to be broody I believe. She has not come off her nest since I got home 6 hours ago. Put food and water near her and she did eat. She let me pet her as well without hissing. Poor girl only has a few eggs under her. OH well if they hatch I won't have too many gosling running around.

Yes she is up to #49 and in her stall since early afternoon so not sure if she is laying again or just keeping my Muscovy duck company since the duck is sitting on Missy's eggs.

She's laid 15 total, and I've blown out and saved the shell of every single one! I'm going to make Christmas ornaments out of every egg she lays her first year!

That's so cool your going to have to show them to us, I am thinking Missy laid # 50, when I went in to put Sam to bed she was standing over her eggs hissing at me and she has been in all afternoon she finally convinced the duck to get lost. Either she has laid and egg or she is broody.
