Toulouse Geese Thread

Here's where I have them right now, but I'm running out of room! They sure look cool in my kitchen window though!

Aren't they pretty though, other than the ones we ate, I have had to throw the rest away since they laid around for so long in her stall and got so nasty. I'll have to go out later and check if she laid # 50 it's pouring rain right now.

Well it's official Missy has laid # 50, I shake my head in amazement. And they are still mating which is suppose to mean more eggs to come. I so want her to be finished.

She's certainly laid a huge clutch for you. Maybe break up the nest to discourage breeding behaviour. To be honest I've got pairs here that are mating again but usually a second clutch is much smaller.

Congrats on all the eggs everybody! They are so pretty!

Trina is starting to get real feathers, DH says it makes her look fat lol. But it has got me a little worried, do geese get fat if they get overfed? She is super active, but she DOES eat a lot lol.
I also wanted to ask about letting her swim in the pool. She seems to love it! Runs over and plops right in. Doesn't even wait for us to open the gate, just squeezes through the bars! IS the chlorine ok for her? Should I rinse her off afterward?

The new Toulouse girls (supposed to be 3 weeks old) more like 3 month old there massive! I have named them Jenevive and Madeleine thought I'd post on here since its a toulouse thread. What lovely noises the toulouse breed make really quiet sweet cry, my other geese are so loud compared to them. :)
