Well Missy has done it again she has laid # 51. I would really like to have her spayed.

cross beak chicken?

Yeah she was hatched normal but when she got around 3 weeks her beak started to twist and now at about 5 or 6 weeks she looks like this

She's a little poofy cause she just got a bath and blow dried in this picture lol

Gerdie hasn't laid an egg in three days... I wonder if she's done for the year or just taking a break?

She can for now, but it seems that most cross beak chickens cross gets worse as they grow, so I will bet that at some point she will need to be tube fed a few times a day to get all her nutrients. She LOVES her yogurt/chick mash mix though, it's fun to watch her turn in to a goose-like eater lol
