Toulouse Geese Thread

Miss Lydia
Thank you
I haven't seen them breeding . Also not sure I have a pair . They were extra at the feed mill last year. There are some definite differences in body shape and bill and foot color so I'm hoping i have a pair.
No sign of eggs yet.

if you can post some pics full body front view we maybe able to help you determine if you have a pair.

I'm not sure if this is a good enough picture .

The one on the right has a red and orange beal and grapefruit pink feet this one was also larger and darker as a gosling
The one on the left has a yellow ring around its eyes and the beal is more yellow with some red and the feet are more orange

Yesterday The goose on the right started squatting when I stroke its back and kind of spreads its wings .
I'm thinking maybe the female ???? But my chickens that are same age do the same squat so...... maybe its a dominance thing . I'm just guessing here

Just ordered 2 Toulouse geese today (with a buff and African as well) both hens as i don't really care about breeding just for pets and guards. but this is so exciting, getting my first geese in the fall so thought i would join the threads for the breeds i plan on getting. :)

Squatting is usually a good sign it's a female but I am hoping @jchny2000 will know for sure she is good at this.

I would have guessed opposite gender but hey It's hard for me. Even with my own. lol
