Missy has played at being broody for about a month, laying on her eggs at night and some during the day but not getting serious, so after candling her eggs that my duck is sitting on and after 2 weeks seeing no veins I have taken her remaining eggs which was only 4 anyway. I kept eggs in her stall to keep her laying in there instead of the duck house. Hopefully she'll not be so crabby and her and Sam will settle into a nice peaceful summer. I'm not sure where Touluse fit in the scheme of being broody but she was right on it for egg laying. Maybe next year.

Haha I love animal personalities! I have zero experience with Anything being broody but it seems that a lot of broodies don't always stay through the whole hatch. How long does a goose egg take to incubate?

Funny question - can you hard boil a goose egg? I feel like that would be interesting haha

Geese are so funny just like was mentioned they don't like any upset in their world, they make the drake stop messing with his duck and the roosters have to behave too, when the dogs bark the geese have to honk . and opinionated my goodness they have to have something to say about everything. They make me laugh with their antics.

I steam my eggs instead of hard boil them and I steamed one of Missy's eggs the dogs got that one, but we have used several for omelets and boy are they good.

it takes 28-30 days to incubate a goose egg.

How is your baby doing.?

They are so darn cute!!! How old are they?

They hatched out on Monday, the 22nd and shipped that afternoon. They sure are "talkative". Much friendlier than ducklings.

We had and an Embden and an African ganders when I was growing up and they were awesome. Hoping these guys will be just as nice.

They pulled that zip tie out of my purse!!!! Little trouble makers.

The one in the sink is mine - Trina in her bath this morning.
The two in front of the other picture are yours. Mine has a band on her leg so I can tell them apart hehe
They are so lively and just wonderful! My husband wants me to go buy a bunch more lol
