Thank you. I'll give that a try and see what they think!!!

They like soft grass hay like timothy, mine love chopped collards, kale and romaine lettuce and mustards. I even hang heads of cabbage out and the whole flock loves it that way.

Wild geese will nest in marshes. Mine all nest in or near the marsh on our land. She must like the shape of the pool. Could you fix up another one for her nearby with some grass already in it?

I put out a spare pool that has a hole in the middle and also added a bit of straw. Gus very highly disapproved of me being so close to the hutch. He got a good early morning shower from the garden hose. Just before I left, I noticed one goose inspecting the inside of the pool while still standing outside though. Looked like she did some rearranging. Great idea, we'll see if the pool becomes nest #3.

So, reading here and observing the six geese out in the orchard, kind of looks like I have two ganders and 4 hens. My patient could well be a gander. I am sure he still needs to gain more weight back but his head and neck are pretty good size. I'll be darned if he does not have a bit of a dewlap hanging off his lower bill.

2 realistically maybe 3, but with low fertility issues lower ratios is better.

These are our first dewlaps, but they are a calm/quiet breed like the sebastopols and those ganders are all bluff. We have 1 gander during breeding season I watch a little more. Its all about common sense when dealing with them. Dont corner, dont turn your back (during breeding season) and walk with a purpose around them. 

I dont mean to be rude but do you guys know where I can get a buff female? other than hatcheries?
