Looks like a painting Love it!
That was taken just before breeding season began. And, finally, I think there season is ending so I can like them again. The are paired except Sting keeps trying to hoard all the females. But things are calming down now for the rest of the year.Looks like a painting

Nice pen, but can I make a suggestions? okay I will anyway. put some kind of fencing over the top and tie it down so nothing can get under and down into your pen. I saw a video once of people videoing a hawk figuring out how to get under some netting and picking off their chickens. If there is a will there is a way. 1/2 inch hardware cloth 3' up from bottom of pen all the way around to keep raccoons from reaching in and grabbing your goose and trying to pull it through the chain link. Yes it has been done. And some kind of barrier all the way around the bottom to keep out diggers. It's alot of work but it will go along way in protecting your goslings /geese from predators. Having them in an open at the top pen is just asking for trouble especially if your not going to lock them into a secure building at night. and coons can rip right through chicken wire too. Mink can get through 1" holes.Got this 10x10x6 foot pen in preparation for 3 Toulouse goslings I ordered that I'll be picking up from the post office next month. I had no other pens to keep them safe in at night or when no one is home once they've outgrown their brooder since my ducks and our new chickens have taken up the only two pens we have. Gonna put a coulple of large dog houses in there for them to sleep in and a rain resistant arched canopy over the top to keep the pen from getting too wet inside when it rains or snows. It'll also keep hawks and eagles from swooping down and grabbing them when they're big enough to play outside during the day but still small enough to be picked up by predators in the sky. Should be a nice home for them.![]()
Thanks for the tips. I was just thinking that about putting some chicken wire over the top. I'll try those other things too. I'm not going to keep them outside at night though until they're full grown. They'll stay in the barn with the chickens at night or when I'm not home to keep an eye on them which is very secure. So I'm not too worried about dealing with raccoons.
