Toulouse Geese Thread

I have 2 Toulouse geese both hatched April 2016.
I don't have eggs yet either. I do think they are thinking about it , I'm finding feathers in the goose house and the one wants to be stroked and squats . She also allows the hose to run on her back while she's in the pool and points her bum skyward !!! I was thrilled and thought I had a pair - but - the other one is now happy to have water on its back and the bum goes up also.

Thinking I now have 2 females . I guess it's better than 2 males !!!

Thank you !!! They are the loves of my life. I always wanted geese , adored the Canadians on the pond but these two are just so special and loving. They are my first geese and I'm learning so much but so much more to learn .
They have different voices and different personalities
But as I said , they both did the bum to the sky thing in the pool soooo ???? I don't know

We have had our scares. Last summer I noticed the one most loving goose was eating funny , tipping its head and not biting the treats or grazing. Off to the vet we go . He examines her and when he opens her mouth there on her tongue was a high tensil spring !!!!
She had stuck her tongue through the spring and it was now swollen inside the coils . Emergency surgery, antibiotics and daily/nightly flushing - she's now a perfect goose again , no damage but Whew!!!!
We're moving to a small farm soon and I am so afraid that I'll lose one or both . I have a plan and I think it's a safe plan . They are just so precious and innocent.
Maybe we can learn together in this community

I have listened and listened to your video and their voices. My one goose has the high pitched voice and is the first one I thought was a girl !!! The other one is lower - honk honk honk - ughhhh I'm so confused

@equustears You 2 Toulouse are gorgeous!! Maybe this will help too if nothing else a chuckle.https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...se-from-a-gander-in-case-anyone-is-interested

Why are you worried you will lose them both when you move to your new place? and oh my goodness amazing about your goose and the spring being around the tongue. Glad that came out good.

My Missy mumbles most of the time. Sam my Embden gander shrieks most of the time. And she has short legs and short neck compared to my gander. and lobes that hang between her legs but can't remember if she had the lobes when as young as ya'lls geese she will be 5 in April. But mating is going on so hopefully you will know soon. But I have never seen my gander raise his tail up to the sky, he'd rather bite right now.
