Has anyone gotten ducks from the tractor sp supply store?
What breeds do they carry?
Do all the stores carry the same be breed?

I believe they carry Rouens, Pekins, khaki Campbell’s, and mallards. I’ve never gotten ducks from them, but that’s only because I already have ducks and don’t want to expand upon my duck squad.

I got some Rouens from them last year and four khaki Campbell ducks this year. They are all doing great.

Ive gotten, Khaki, Rouen last year. This year ive gotten pekin, possible Silver Apple yard, and possible Welsh Harlequin

I got 7 khakis from tsc. straight run, ended up with 4 hens 3 drakes. hens have laid very well so far and theyve all been healthy!
most stores have khakis, pekins...otherwise it really depends on the store at what they get in the shipment. runners, rouens, mallards....I think thats all Ive seen at ours.

I got my two girls from a TSC. They explained to us that all their ducks are from local farmers so it depends on what they have. All stores in our area had Pekins and Mallards. Originally we were going to get Khaki Campbell’s but when we showed up someone just bought the last of them. We ended up going to another TSC that had Blue and Black Swedish (although now we think the Black Swede is a Cayuga).

Even though their website and stores have the same breeds listed, the stores do NOT all carry the same breeds. In fact, many stores don't even have the breeds they list.

They are tying to source ducklings more local to the stores rather than ordering from hatcheries. I know this because they contacted me looking to purchase ducklings for this season here in maine, but I cannot provide as many as they want and at a low price as I am just a small hobby farm.

But you can find muscovy, anconas, magpies, etc. More rarer breeds if they have local hatcheries or breeders they can buy from

The tractor supply in my area seem to only carry Pekin.. Atleast every time I call, thats all they have
