Please be careful how extravigant you get in packaging seeds for mail !
I had to pay 75 cents xtra postage on a pack i picked up in my mailbox today which makes them pretty spendy.

They were in a regular mailing envelope but had some bubble wrap around them.
Because of the bulk the USPS had to hand stamp the envelope as it wouldn't go through the machine. My carrier said when they hand stamp it will always cost 75 cents more than a regular letter.

I don't think they need to be bubble wrapped.

Well shoot Chicken woman, that is my fault. I had read that you should package seeds in bubble wrap as the automatic mail reader would crush the seeds. I didn't realize they would charge extra for a little peice of bubble wrap in a standard envelope. $1.17 is a rip off for a standard sized envelope (42 cents on my end, 75 on yours). Sorry about that, I will just stick them in an envelope from now on

If anyone else gets seeds with extra shipping charges from me, just send them back. The USPS can return them to me, I will repackage, and send them back without bubble wrap. I'd rather just buy another stamp in my end then have them get a full $1.17 for an envelope. I'm just flabbergasted that they charge an extra 75 cents for that (my super frugal side is getting all worked up about it).

I sent my seeds with bubble wrap also, and I handed in at the postal window to be sure they would go through okay and didn't need extra postage. If it was mine please tell me because the post master and I will need to have a talk.
