Ok, so today I candled again (day 7, I think) and decided, since I just today found out that the 12 "Fertile" ones were 21 days old before going into the 'bator that nothing was ever going to hatch. I cracked open a few and, after seeing no signs of development, proceeded to crack open all 15...
All 12 of the eggs marked "Fertile" were Infertile as well as the AAA White Battery Egg....then I got to the two "Organic, Cage-Free Brown" and as I cracked the first open....a bunch of veins and a tiny little embryo spill out
Its little heart was beating for a few minutes before finally stopping
. I immediately put the other "Organic, Cage-Free Brown" egg back into the incubator and am hoping it will survive
After digging around and finding the carton I found out that they were 3 days old before going into the 'bator. I've learned a bunch of lessons today....
This however, DOES prove that Grocery Store eggs that aren't even marked as Fertile CAN develop
Also, it proves I am doing something right!
Happy hatching you guys!
