Sorry, had this question but posted as a new thread...

Anyone Hatching TJ eggs that look like this?

Three years ago I hatched out 8 of 12 TJ eggs. I purchased the eggs from the Trader Joes in Santa Cruz CA. Last year I tried to hatch out 42 more but not one was fertile. What I did notice is in last years batch of eggs every egg was date stamped. I just purchased 4 dozen more eggs from the same store and everyone is date stamped so I'm just wondering if they will hatch?

The eggs last year were 12 days old, these are only 7 days.

Anyone else hatching date stamped TJ eggs?

I'm back on the bandwagon! I set my Rock Island eggs (from the Sacramento Grocery Co-op) on 1/9. All were fertile, but nine are developing well.

A week or so prior, I set my first batch of Trader Joe fertile eggs. Nothing happened. I cracked two and they did not seem to be fertile. Too old, perhaps? I was really looking forward to candling white-shelled eggs.

My two Rock Island hens are just over a year old now. Each lays a large, cream-colored eggs every day. They rarely miss a day. Hope for more hens just like them! :)

Good luck to all!
