hmmm so $15 to vaccinate 6 chicks (IF they ALL hatch)I'm sure you'll be right!. I almost worry about them like my children!I have a rabbit cage in the living room with a cardboard liner to eliminate corners and create a barrier from draft (though there shouldn't be any draft there) and a heat lamp. Food, water and ACV ready to go!![]()
Dwkuska, exactly! $2.49 I think was the cost! Can't beat that!
tlcmama, I'd love to vaccinate as well, but you can't get smaller doses. There are some people who manage to split the vaccine into smaller amounts, I read it somewhere, but it's hard to know if your dose is correct when you do that, plus how do you keep it from getting contaminated? I just gave up on the idea :-(
there is really no way to cut the doses before reconstituting unless the powder is divided
not easy or sterile
and unless the reconstituted vaccine is stable for a LONG time it must be destroyed - BURNED?! really??
