I agree....I own LGD...Maremmas....I have 7 acres and mine stay home to do the job I hired them for...Protect my property and my livestock...I own Chickens, Ducks, horses and small dogs also...My dogs never attack, chase or leave my yard...Proper training and they are fantastic assets to any farm or acreage...

Thank you for the responses! Just to clarify the boys and the chickens are separated by a fence, they both have been trained to protect poultry, and the lab has had a history of playing with, but not killing, young birds and he started training right after the 1 month mark. We have decided to keep both of them, because neither have shown any aggression towards the birds after the incident and they are still responsible for scaring away cats, coyotes, and other predators. Again, thank you for the help.
