Paint nice designs (sorta nice!) on the tops of those umbrellas!
I'd still go with the kill 'em with kindness (with a side dish of gloating) approach, like bright yellow, with "Have a Nice Day!" in the center, flanked by two big smiley faces

I like that better than the neon hippie flowers!I'd still go with the kill 'em with kindness (with a side dish of gloating) approach, like bright yellow, with "Have a Nice Day!" in the center, flanked by two big smiley faceson either side.

here’s a screen shot of a Facebook post.
Thanks! Nice to "see" you againCongratulations on your outcome!!!
I haven't had much time to get on here the past few months but, your post is one that I have been following and hoping the town would do the right thing!
Do you leave that up all winter? My garden has similar netting on top, and this is what it looked like last week:
I only put it up this past summer... Haven't had it through a winter yet. I was really hoping the snow would fall through, now I don't know what to think or doDo you leave that up all winter?
You need to buy netting that has squares that are approximately 2” across. It looks like your openings are a lot smaller than mine. I pick the bigger holes so the snow and sometimes even leaves fall through and it doesn’t give me issues. My garden has similar netting on top, and this is what it looked like last week:

Snow was wet and clumpy and did not fall through the holes. Maybe it just depends on the type of snow... We get a lot of heavy wet snow here that sticks to everything and doesn't want to fall through.
Yeah, mine are hexagons and only the longest dimension is 2", so overall the holes are a bit smaller I guess. Doesn't matter though, I already have mesh for the chicken run and that's 2x3, big enough for snow to fall through. The mesh on my garden is vinyl-coated metal... Vinyl seems like it would be pretty slippery too, right? Or at least not as grabby as fabric netting.Metal and 'fabric' mesh is going to act much differently.
Fabric netting is going to grab snow much more quickly than metal mesh.
