My family treat our chickens like family (as if they were like family pets), does anyone else do that?

Thank goodness!!!!! My dad looks at my mom and I like we are crazy or something. We have 19 baby chicks in our living room :) When we let a few out, they follow us and my little chihuahua around like their mother. She loves it!!

You bet they are family! As a matter of fact, I just became a new chicken Grandma for the second time in two weeks!

Congrats!!!!
I have yet to become a chicken grandma, I usually become more attached to my roosters than hens. But hopefully this batch has a few lovely girls that will follow me around

Mine all have names, even though we have 31 of them (that we are keeping) :gig The ones without known genders still don't have names.

It's easier to identify them that way. IE: Dylan will tell me that Ruby has gone broody. I know who he is talking about :)
