Treating feather lice without permethrin

Not to hijack this thread but I'm dealIng with lice right now. I dusted everybody last Friday with Prozap Permethrin dust as well cleaned out everything in the coop & dusting the run. There are still a few nits on the one that it the worst. Would it be alright ttospot treat her with some Pen & Poultry permethrin spray? We're experiencing heavy rains and I'm not sure if the previous disting has been rendered ineffective.
Thank you for any input.
Do you mean nits at the base of the feathers? (photo below)
If so, then you can apply some coconut oil or mineral to them to help dissolve the "glue" that they attached with and remove them. Some folks pluck out the worst feathers.
Dusting in 5-7 day intervals will help kill any larvae that emerge from the eggs.

The liquid permethrin will not likely penetrate the nit casings.

Yes just nits now. The adults died off from the first dusting so I will dust them again today and use coconut oil to loosen and remove them. Thank you :)
