Treating frostbite

Two my 6 hens got frostbite this winter, it got very very cold here in SW Michigan, this was the first time this has happened since I've had chickens. I didn't treat them at all. The tips of the combs turned black and then healed up. I think they lost a minor amount of tissue but honestly it didn't seem to bother them very much if at all. They're completely healed now.

Same here.....
....didn't see this prolonged swelling like on the OP's bird,
which could have been caused by the 'treatment'.

Her comb looks a little weird but as long as she is healthy and alive she's all good. If she doesnt have a name Id give her one based on this trauma. We did that for our girl Persephone (Greek goddess of spring since shes been to Hades and back)
 
Glad that she has recovered from a severe case of frostbite. I would say her comb doesn’t look bad considering it looked like this in the beginning:
