Miss Lydia told me to buy kitten food for Little Lou...it has helped a great deal through his life struggles. It’s not very expensive, and now I buy the biggest bags they have and keep it in the barn...sometimes I give the other ducks some too!Thatd be a good source of meat protein too, i never thaught of that. i have high protein wet food for my special kitty
You can also put some yogurt mixed with the crumbles...mine never liked it, but I got that info on here that it helps the struggling ones. I also bought electrolytes to put in the water...I let the ducklings swim in it...to absorb it....hopefully@Jpat how did the runt turn out? I only ask because I’m dealing with the same thing right now. Just got 16 khakis on Wednesday. One quickly emerged as the runt. Wasn’t eating or drinking and pushed to the corner by the rest. Very proud of my 15 yr old daughter for separating it from the rest, hand (finger) feeding it, and making sure it is getting enough B complex. Already starting to see an uptick in energy and feeding after 1 day. Any additional suggestions?
So we are at week nine and the ‘runt’ has thrived. I wish I could figure out how to add a video but I wanted to update and thank everyone who helped me help her.
