I just got our baby chicks and I was wondering when do I start feeding oyster shells and giving mealworms for treats?
Thank you!!

Oyster shell needs to be offered when they start laying eggs.
IMO as far as treats go, wait a couple of days to let them get used to eating their chick starter and get acclimated, then you can start adding treats in SMALL amounts - be sure to offer grit (free choice) as well.

I don't know if geese have similar digestive systems to chickens, but thought you might find this useful. When I had my gosling, I gave her approved treats. However, any change to her diet, caused changes to her poop. Sometimes those changes were rather.....forceful and eye watering. I just got three baby chicks & decided to stick with their starter crumbles. Just in case!
