Treehouse coop finally finished*PICS*!!!

I'm thinking of having the droppings tray on the ground with a thick layer of DE to dry the droppings. I thinks I can then use a cat litter scoop to sift the droppings out. Do you think that will work?

Sounds like it should. I did a traditional roost (i.e., looks like steps leaning towward a wall), so it's more difficult for me to have a droppings tray. I just have a very deep litter method and keep "sitrring". I wish I had more room for a horizontal-type roost with a droppings tray underneath. Yours looks great!

Thanks MissPrissy,
I think I understand how to enlarge the pics. I've always wondered how.

Thanks Allchookedup- How long have you used the deep litter method? I have been doing it for 11 weeks now. Spread a fine layer of DE and the a thin layer of pine shavings. So far no odor and the chicks seem very healthy. How often will you clean your coop?

Thanks, I've be waiting quite a while to have chickens, and I love it more than I thought I would.
