Aurora the flock looks great! I still think Pebbles & Sweet Pea are stunning. And just love the mottled! I wish Adam wasn't such a bellybutton. I had to laugh about the girls hiding eggs! Reports of hens laying are slowly rolling in.

Ralph, Coffee should be happy with Snowflake! What a sweet girl. She was just giving you a hen hug! You snuggle those show birds, you need to hug your turkey hens more! :D

Beautiful flock Sparky! Can't wait to see the results from your Narri breedings. I got a kick out of the flock standing there watching the Twisted Sisters. I'm surprised that others haven't tried to fly over the fence too. Every time one of my bird tries something new, the rest have to follow!

Feedman, the solar is a great idea. Nice!

Wow Coffee! We miss you! Like Aurora said, Ralphie updates us but...wow...have you been busy!

First, the puppy is darling! And so is the husband. And the kitten! Lucky kitty to be rescued by you guys. I honestly don't see it in the tree, which by the way is awesome!

The house is beautiful in the snow. I remember the pics you posted when you bought it and I fell in love with it! Love the cellar, and the quilt room...wow! The closest I've ever come to canning is opening one from the grocery. So I'm impressed!

And Porter! He's really grown up. Love those babies. Looks like he and his family is healthy & happy. Snowflake is beautiful. She wants to be a lapper! Your going to have a wonderful flock!

Thanks for the update! Loved all the pics! Check in more often!!

Yippee! I won the "Find the kitty" game! Gee, I never win anything!!:D. And Coffee, post away! We've missed you so its fun to see all the changes you've made over the summer. I still cant believe how much you two have done! The deck is amazing and I love the mailbox! Pearl is the perfect name for your new hen. She seems like a sweetie!

We are in the midst of a 1" blizzard here in the south! Our local news teams are all on air an hour early to cover the big event! With "live team" coverage! :gig

Hey Feisty! Sounds like Big Bird is definitely thinking about laying! I know my girls are on the verge. Seems like most of our girls are getting close!

Ralph, funny you mention snow plows. We had a few. But they weren't maintained correctly and apparently rusted past the point of being used.

I'm convinced Snitch is an Ethel daughter. Remember how talkative she was. I think Snitch just gets excited to see you & has all kinds of stories to tell! :D. You need to sit with her & let her talk herself out! I know its beyond cold there, but if you can convert her to a lapper you'd stay pretty toasty in the barn!

Sparky, ya'll are just as hapless with snow & sleet as we are. And of course its going to be in the 60's next week.

Aww! She loves Big Daddy Porter. What a sweet story! Turkeys are amazing. Sort of feel sorry for PJ.

Daisy took off & flew down my driveway, over the garage, and into my back yard. It was cool to see "tubby" fly so high and far! Geez they are loud when they fly. She will also fly by my head when I'm using the leaf blower. I think she hates it! But she'll fly right by me and actually make eye contact. Twerp!

So, we seemed to have survived our 1 inch blizzard! Never got out of the 20's. Had enough, winter can end now! Luckily it will be in the 70's next week.

I will say my turkeys took full advantage of the snow! They bolted out of their pen flapping & twirling. Then they figured out it was fun to eat it. My chickens are wimps. I'm a wimp. At least the turkeys enjoyed our little winter Wonderland!

Seriously, is there anything more fun than turkeys being silly? I ventured out & kicked their soccer ball around for a bit. They were running & hopping around after it. They really are goofballs!
