I agree with Ralph! Turkeys are just characters! Give the chance, they will be your little buddies! :lau

Where did everyone go? I have questions:

Feedman, whats the status of the quail hatch?
Feisty, are you home yet?
Aurora, whats hatching girl?
Ralphie, need more chick pics! Whats Snitch up too??
Holm, when do you get your new turkey hens?
Oldhen, post a pic of Fuzzy Butt over here! He still fascinates me!
R2elk, you've been slacking on pictures! They are so gorgeous!

And finally...anybody have any hens laying??

Aurora, your girls are going to be so confused!

It was in the mid 70's here today. So I had no choice...I left work at noon to enjoy it! Tee shirt & shorts! Got my wheel barrow out & headed around front to weed & work in the gardens. Turkeys in tow. They got lazy after about 15 minutes of weed eating & ended up roosting on the handles. Bums! The neighbors were amused. The chickens stayed busy scratching around in the mulch. They are so much more ambitious than the turkeys.

Howdy Feisty!! Its just beautiful there! It would be hard for me to return to winter after that!! Did you ever get to FaceTime Big Bird??

I had the girls out front picking weeds when I noticed my 80 year old neighbor, three doors down, trying to roll her trash bin to the curb. She uses a walker. Scared the heck out of me! Went sprinting down there to help. Just got to her when I heard incoming turkeys in flight. They were both flying after me. Not high, but in the air for awhile. Never have seen them both in the air at once. Looked pretty cool. So that was the highlight of my soggy weekend. My neighbor didn't break a hip & my girls got in some fly time!

No eggs yet...slackers!

Just read another post about a tom beating up two hens. That's the final straw for me. Been contemplating another turkey & trying to decide if I want a tom. I just can't. I'd kill it if it hurt the girls. I'm sticking with hens! I know there are gentlemen toms.....but with my luck I'd get a jerk. I only have the two girls....don't think that's enough to keep a tom happy.
