I don't let him loose with my birds. And keeping him on the property could be an issue. Just hang a GPS collar on him & let him out at night. He'll be back in the morning...LOL!

I'm still mulling over the Disney affect on wildlife management. Interesting food for thought. Grew up in a hunting family. My dad was a vet...hunting being his main hobby. No big exotic hunting trips...just local hunting... whatever was in season. He & his buddies would coonhunt mid-week. No GPS tracking back then. Sometimes they'd be out most of the night. Have no idea how the man could run around in the woods after dogs most of the night and spend 12 hours in the clinic the next day. Now a days when I tell someone I'm working with a coonhound I get the strangest looks or comments. Interesting concept R2elk!

Was messing around outside. Daisy was rather fussy. Talking a lot, wing flapping, running around, etc. Wondering if she's thinking about EGGS!! Sure hope so. Annie just hung out watching her. They really have different personalities.

Ralph...coonhound got another possum last night. Found its body today. They tore down an old storage building next door. I think that's were they were living. Blah!

Friend of mine currently has an armadillo problem. Talk about tearing up a lawn! She wants me to bring the hound over for an evening! Not doing that....but it was a funny request.

Sfgwife....when I first moved here I only saw armadillo in Arkansas. Now they are common on this side if the Mississippi River. But what's really interesting is that I see them dead along the interstate all the way up to St. Louis. Never used to see that.

Molpet....didn't realize you were in IL. I'm from St. Louis and am currently engaged in making fun of my snowbound family!! They really got dumped on! I have a house in Ste. Genevieve MO.....southeast MO. I've spent a lot of time in southern Illinois. Including a "Women Only" coonhunt!

I relented and took the girls for a quick walk before bed. We took advantage of a lull in the unrelenting deluge. They were just so unhappy being in their pen all day. They screamed at me when I let the dogs run. Literally screamed! Spoiled brats. I've done this to myself! At least they behave in public!

And here...not even one egg yet! Girls spent most of the day peering in the backdoor. Went & sat on the steps with them awhile. They're so cute. Seriously....little turkey faces are too cute! Had one sitting on either side of me just hanging out.
