Cold rain. And lots if it. Well at least I'm not in St. Louis with my snowbound relatives.

Sfgwife....when I first moved here I only saw armadillo in Arkansas. Now they are common on this side if the Mississippi River. But what's really interesting is that I see them dead along the interstate all the way up to St. Louis. Never used to see that.

I have heard armadillos have been spotted to Central Illinois. Although this winter may kill some off.. Central and southern Illinois has had worse weather than up here.. weird weather

I am in northern Illinois and usually have had below zero and a ft of snow. Lowest it has been is 17f and a total of 3" of snow up to this morning,.. it's snowing now and 29f... might get 4" by morning...
Central and southern Illinois it's been colder and lots more snow.. they have 10" at St Louis just from the storm today/ yesterday
ETA I had thought to move to southern Illinois to get away from the cold and snow LOL but it's worse than where I am...so far this year..may all change next weekend

Molpet....didn't realize you were in IL. I'm from St. Louis and am currently engaged in making fun of my snowbound family!! They really got dumped on! I have a house in Ste. Genevieve MO.....southeast MO. I've spent a lot of time in southern Illinois. Including a "Womans Only" coonhunt!

My girls are so mad. Not letting them out in this cold rain. Boy am I hearing about it. It's going to be cold tonight....would rather they stay dry.

I live up next to Joliet.. the forest preserve next to me is own by Joliet
New Lenox is my mailing address .. used to be a farming town .. now it's a bunch of city dwellers with city ways... no chickens in allowed in either town

I do feel sorry for the city folks, but too often they leave the city only to turn their new country homes into the place they disliked and fled.
