Huge dark spots sounds cool! Can't wait for pics. Love me some bug eyed babies!

My hens were fighting yesterday evening. I think its my fault. Picked Annie up for a few seconds, set her down on a bench, Daisy hopped up next to her & they were off to the races. I waded into the fray & separated them. Threw Annie into the pen & left Daisy loose. They decided to fight threw the fencing. Threw Daisy into the dog run. Let them loose right before bedtime and off they went again. Separated them again. Waited till dark & stuck them both on their roost. Hoping a nights sleep will help them get over it. Girls.....

Storms woke me up at 4:00. For some reason Ralphie was up too & mentioned coffee....I had to make a cup. I can see an afternoon nap in my future today!

I'm still disturbed over my hens fighting. I know it was over me. R2elk is shaking his head right now. That said....boy were they stunning in full hen display! That was right before they plowed into each other. And boy can they clamp down! I decided to pry Daisy's mouth open to release Annie's waddle. They have stronger bites than I realized. Interested to see if they calm down overnight.

Ok....threw them both out in the big yard & they are locked in combat. I'm watching from the house. Have my dogs in the house with me and they are all whining. The girls aren't making much noise, how can they with their beaks full of waddle, so I'm finding it interesting that the dogs are upset. Hmmm...separated, but Daisy is following Annie in full display. Maybe there will be an uncomfortable truce shortly. Now I know how my mom felt when my sister & I tried to kill each other as kids.

Feedman, I can relate to naps. Hate you have to work. Sounds like a bunch of us were up too early today!

Annie is hiding from Daisy. She's hiding in a corner of the garage. I feel bad but not interfering. I was telling y'all about Annie being highly vocal this last week, beginning to think she got on Daisy's last nerve...

Ralphie...those really are cute little future lappers!

Is Flora one of your chickens?
Finnie, I meant to say Annie! Flora is one of my dogs. Geez, I'm so frustrated I can't get anyone's name right! They are in the coop. Hoping their sleeping. Daisy pretty much bullied Annie the rest of the day. Annie wouldn't get within 5 feet of her and she took advantage of it. They both have little facial cuts & waddle bruising but nothing looked too serious.

Ralphie...post a Bert Jr.pic...the one where he is almost as big as that 5 gallon feeder. Micah needs to see a toad. Molpet, I wanna see a lizard!
