It's a big mess here. Sleeting & icing. All schools closed, parts of the expressway closed due to pile ups of cars & trucks. Flights being cancelled. And getting colder each minute. I'll have to chip my way into the turkey pen. What a mess we have.
At least I don't have to go anywhere today. My turkeys and chickens will be surprised when they wake up.

Aurora I can just picture your turkeys helping you with your chores. Annie also will tug on my cloths for attention. Daisy just waits for me to sit down then hops on the chair arm or my lap. But they both have to be in the middle of all activity. They helped me clean out my van last week while it was warm. The neighbors got a kick out of that. I'm sure we looked like the three stooges.

We ended up with a few inches of ice covered by a few inches of snow. I stayed inside drinking tea with lots of honey. And reading. Kept the birds in their runs. Kicked the dogs out a few times. Enjoyable day actually. Guess I'll try & get the girls out today....or not. Still cold and all the icey mess is sticking around.

Currently getting a bunch of snow. I can't believe it. We've had ice/snow on the ground here since last Friday. That never happens. We have no snow removal capabilities. My chickens hate it. I opened my turkey pen and they've been wandering around. They don't care. But they look miserable. They need snow boots & leggings.

Still snowing here Rjohns. Have about 3" in my yard....going to 4", maybe. Memphis is shut down. And it's only 15.... wow...just so weird for us. Good luck y'all east of me....

It's 8° here...8°! I'm not even believing this. We got around 3" of snow yesterday. Schools are still closed. We got our first round of ice/sleet/snow last Friday. And here six days later it's still here. I've NEVER seen crunchy snow stick around this long. I'm freaked out!
