Found 'em! Backyard of another neighbor. Bird owner wasn't home. By the time he got a hold of me it was was dark & they were 30 foot up a tree. But apparently they were in this yard all day. Well...we'll revisit the situation tomorrow.
May take Daisy down there. They might follow her. That or she'll run off with them & join the circus.
Never got above freezing yesterday. Our normal high this time of year is 60. 60!! What the heck!

Daisy did her best. Found the escapees in a neighbors back yard. Lugged Daisy down there. Set her in the yard, scattered some BOSS. The guineas were curious. Daisy talked to them, politely. They wouldn't move toward her. I finally walked between them & the fence line & slowly walked them through the gate. Daisy leading the way. They followed her. She started down the driveway. Then guineas took a sharp left & ran into another backyard. They had a locked metal gate with bars so I couldn't get back there. Daisy & I headed home to a very pissed off Annie!
I have to say...Daisy did her best. Oh well.

I love that pic of the momma hen with all those babies! Speaking of bug eyed babies, we seem to be lacking pics of currently hatched poults!! Hint, hint....

Only 24 here this morning. Honestly the turkeys & chickens are ok with the temps. It's me who's a wimp. At least the sun is out. But rain moving in over the weekend...yet again.

Hoping Daisy didn't have nightmares last night after her forced Guinea rescue attempt. Boy you should have heard poor Annie screaming when I took Daisy away on her rescue mission. She was not happy. Daisy didn't seem to care. I think she was enjoying the adventure. But then again...Daisy seems to always go with the flow. Annie is much more dramatic.

Hi Ketojenn! Always great to welcome another turkey aficionado!! Like most, I started off with chickens. They are fine....but can't compare to my turkeys! Mine are terrific pets. Just love 'em.

Some of our turkey folk are NPIP & can ship eggs/poults. Ralphie is in Minnesota, which I think is pretty close to you. R2elk is over in Wyoming...not NPIP, but raises some beautiful birds. And being a southerner, I'm not sure how close he is to you.

Our gang is very well versed on the different color varieties certain breeding pairs can produce. Its helpful when deciding what varieties to add to your breeding pool.

Stay in touch!!
