Already 61 here. Weirdo weather. Storms due this afternoon. So the plan is to rouse the girls & get them out for grazing early.
Fred Gobbles....Marigold is a chunker!! Blossom had been larger, but noticed Marigold has surpassed her AND Daisy. Guess she's having a growth spurt. Iris is still skinny & smaller than the rest. Daisy has taught them the benefits of roosting on the back porch rail. I'm enjoying working in the kitchen with my colorful audience. I can now walk out the backdoor & hand each a blueberry without them scattering. My neighbor was down yesterday & couldn't quit laughing & tapping the window. Have to admit....they are complete goofballs! They'll stand up & stretch their necks toward the window. She said when she needs a mood lift she's coming down to play with the girls. Seems they've turned into therapy turkeys.

Aurora...I'm lucky to be in a great neighborhood. Neighbors have grown fond of the girls. It's an oddity....turkeys living in the city and they seem to appreciate them. But seriously....what's not to like?? I have a social group of hens. They seem to love the attention. Most folks really fall for them after they meet them. You should have see the haul of Halloween pumpkins they ended up with! Half the neighborhood showed up with their pumpkins for the girls. There will be more after Thanksgiving when everyone changes to Christmas decorations. We have so many young couples with kids....and the kids love the girls. Parents get a kick out of that too. And it's fun for me to raise turkey awareness! LOL!!

Yeah....suffering animals kill me.

Alicia...I remember her Res. Championship!

Hi Sara! I wish I had time for quail! They are so darn cute!! But my divas suck all my extra energy. With it being so cold & wet, they are now demanding muck boots! It just doesn't stop. Where they get these ideas I don't know. I thought their leggings & turtleneck sweaters were enough. Daisy was asking for a pedicure again. The teenagers want tiaras. Always something.....

Iris & Marigold flew over the fence into the neighbors backyard. Blossom....is not a flyer! And of course both dummies were running up & down the fence line screaming. Blossom was talking back. And Daisy was no help roosted on the porch rail preening & ignoring all the dramatics! So Daisy I went to retrieve them. They were happy to see us....came running...& followed us around the corner & to the coop. Talking & chattering the whole way. These two are so dramatic!!
