Marigold was following me around the garden this afternoon. Just had to pick her up & carry her around a bit. She's so cuddly! Has really soft feathers on her head & neck. Made the rest of the birds a bit jealous. Her little beard continues to grow. I will admit....can't carry her around for long. She's big. Takes to arms to hold her. Shes heavy, but the problem is her size, not the weight. Finally sat down with her. Which only allowed Daisy to pull her tail & she jumped down. Daisy doesn't allow the other birds in my lap. I have to sneak around if I want to hold one. Daisy has me trained!!

Looks like a hen to me Penny's Mama.

Oh boy....get to go to the grocery store. They are rationing meat here. One package of ground beef per person.

Going to be another gorgeous day here. It's so brilliant with no vehicle pollution. The birds are so loud! The turkey girls are so enjoying the weather!

The boys next door were out grilling yesterday. Notice all three of the girls lined up along the fence. Ran out & broke that up. I think the boys had dates over there. Can you just see them enjoying an evening outside grilling & drinking a few beers & a turkey flock flies in to join them?

Back to Head Cheese....oh boy! Jerry, to Ralphies & make head cheese with him! Sounds like a fun time!

Here's a question...how long does it take one kid to turn into six? About 10 minutes when they see Daisy out grazing. Poor girl was standing at the gate. Decided to take her out front. The three stooges followed us. One little girl spied Daisy & here she came! Calling to her brother, who informed another little group of kids. The stooges scooted back to the backyard. Daisy was in 7th Heaven! She sat there getting pets & hugs. And they were picking weeds for her. That was one very happy turkey hen!! I swear she was smiling! Kids were all in a circle around her. Didn't have my phone, it would have been a cute picture. Honestly, she need some kid therapy.
