Haha, oops!This thread has me look at hatching eggs on eBay again. I thought I was smarter than that. Two bids later and I know I'm definitely not
Now I promise I was listening to the advice you gave me, it just hasn't set in yet.

For some reason, egg production is not really all that important to me. It might be due to the amount of ducks we have, but with chickens, I prefer roosters. None of my neighbors care about having them, you can hear crowing at about 5 different houses here... Time to show then what a long crower is like lol.
This is not a Tomaru, but is a grat example of a long crower. Tomaru do not crow quite this long.

I have a little 10 week old cockerel who I thoroughly enjoy having around (for now). I can see the appeal. They are beautiful and FULL of personality!
As I type, I am watching my little cockerel free range with his brood mates and my 5 big girls. He's already trying to mate his brood mates (even the one I think is male) and protecting them from the big girls. He got into a tussle with my big ol' Brahma who got a little too close to his flock. Whew! I'm still new at chickening, and I don't yet know how much kerfuffle is too much kerfuffle. Kinda nerve-wracking...

I too relatively new to chickens so I don't think I'm an authority on roosters by any means. I have however had one that was genuinely aggressive, and I can say it was a huge difference between being mean, and just being feisty. I called him jerkface, and he tried to attack any bird regardless of their size. He was a bantam, only about 25oz, but fought like he was 100lbs. When he went for my face, he met a very fast response, and took the "room temp challenge".
I'm not suggesting you dispatch your little fella by the way. Just trying to say it was very obvious what was just pecking order and what was aggression. Hopefully your little guy is just finding his place in the order.
If it's Picotee though, I vote you send him down here. I'd give him a very happy home and over look any issues he'd have. He's so cute!
Yes, it's Picotee! He is being super affectionate with little Violet. The pic shows him snuggling up to her and offering her bits of grass. So cute!
I'm hoping he's just learning how to be a good rooster. Can't be easy with no grown ups to show him the ropes.
