Just to clarify, no, lavender is not just like blue. Lavender is self blue: lavender X lavender = lavender. Naturally, if a breed/variety is in development, you could expect some glitches along the way. But genetically, lavender is lavender. If you add 'em together, and you don't reliably get lavender, they weren't lavender to begin with. Blue, as in andalusian blue, bred together (blue X blue) will produce black, blue, and splash, in fairly consistent percentages (25%, 50%, & 25%, respectively). Both lavender and blue are predictable breedings and do not randomly throw colors.
Donnie, I am not picking on you, I just wanted to clarify that for folks who might not know.

Was going to say the same thing! Dont know where the lavender can make other things came from, if they are pure lavender bred to lavender, you will only get lavender, that's where they differ from a. blues, they can make blue, black or splash, but self blue lavenders breed 100% true to the color...
I know, Ann! We have another member who does that and my first thought was that I wonder if it's that person...I don't recall who it is, but I THINK he's a buddy to Cyn (the other initial capper). Man, it takes me Twice As Long To Read when it's like that!
