I've got a question, I Have a rooster that has the tufts like that, but has a tail so is he pure? I hatched him out last year with 3 others. I got the eggs from a guy in florida. the other 3 roosters didn't have the tufts.

You got any pics of him.. He is not a true araucana, they need to be tufted and rumpless..

However he is half of what it takes to make the right thing..all you need is a rumpless hen you would be on your way there to making an araucana...

does he have tufts and not muffs for sure??

Tailed and tufted birds in the araucana world we call a ~Quetro~

In the araucana world we call a clean faced rumpless bird a ~Collanca~

When you get the both trats from the breeding above you get an araucana'''

Sara,
I hope you don't mind but you may be getting the mother of that triple tufted chick. Harry

HERES THE PIC OF MY ROOSTER. I THOUGHT THE RUMPLESS GENE WAS DEADLY SO SOME CHICKS WOULD HATCH OUT WITH TAILS OR CLEANED FACED.
