I cracked open my first egg today, which is actually the third egg laid (the first two are so small and cute, I don't want to crack them open

). This egg was huge, so I figured it would be a double yolker... but it had three tiny yolks and two egg whites!

This is also the last "good egg" I found and that was on thursday (8/14). I found two on friday, but they were both soft shelled and the last eggs I found at all. I did move them to a new coop on friday, before they laid the soft eggs, so I guess I need to give them time to adjust.

They have been eating layer feed for about 2 weeks.

Nice Sunday morning jackpot. I love when I get the triple and double yolkers. I set aside eggs I think may have more than one yolk for baking.

The 3rd egg is the triple. The 4th egg I found today!

I didn't get a picture of the egg before I cracked it. But I set it back together wet and the egg white kind of glued the shell back together.
