Dad would bang on the ceiling to make them stop. I'd wake up to the sounds of parakeets walking and screaming and then banging on the ceiling.

at my grandmothers old house there was this bird that alway flew into the windowit woke me up every morning!!
Well, I gotta go now. Be back later sometime!

she might, she hates duck eggs. 
Then again I think we're gonna get some golden nugget pullets (POL or chicks in not sure which, maybe both) sooner or later BUT if any hatch and we keep them they'll come into lay right as the others slow down.

Nice chicken... but it's eyes are missing. It looks like it would be hard to see with all those feathers.
