Dad would bang on the ceiling to make them stop. I'd wake up to the sounds of parakeets walking and screaming and then banging on the ceiling.

Huh. Well, I hope your mom lets you keep them!

she might, she hates duck eggs. Then again I think we're gonna get some golden nugget pullets (POL or chicks in not sure which, maybe both) sooner or later BUT if any hatch and we keep them they'll come into lay right as the others slow down.
