How many times did you dust them? Usually it's every couple weeks for about a month. I used wood ash on mine last year.

I only dusted them once, but I dusted them very thoroughly. I also put DE in their bedding, in their dust bath spot, and on their perches. I really don't think DE is very good, maybe if you put them in a tub filled with DE it would work?
