If it's just a place to sleep night you can do as many as a foot per bird, if they spend a lot of time in there you'd be better off at a bird to every three to four feet.

They'd sleep and lay eggs in there.And they'd have a run but even if this one is cheaper, the other one is better.

Honestly I'd go with the more expensive one, cheap things tend to fall apart and a coop that falls to pieces ain't doing much good.
