You are indeed correct. I feel a deep connection with animals and so I feel as though it would be disrespectful to the corpse. It's sort of like when a human dies they are buried, and I think that same respect should apply to other creatures. Even when one of my fish die I make a little coffin for them and bury them in the backyard, one of my major flaws is my over sensitivity towards animals. Though I am certainly not mad at anyone!

I do that to!
Like, my cat killed my chipmunk, he lived in my backyard and his name was Nutty.I grabbed him from her, but he was already gone, so I buried him and made a circle of rocks.
I even buried a dead bird we once found.

Yup.In a few weeks they will straighten out and looked laced instead of mottled.
