That's neat! I find the leftovers can be the healthiest for them.
Yeah, I don't like feeding leftovers too much unless only veggies/fruit. Sometimes I will give them rice, quinoa, etc.

This is also really good for them as they are confined to a barn right now and really small run for 54 birds. :(

Yes, I agree. Pasta is good in small amounts too. :)

Yeah, they probably need the extra protein being that close. :)
 
Well, sadly they won't be getting any as we are going gluten free as a family.

Ha ha, yes they are elders. Okay. How old are the ones you had inherited?
 
Have you had them their whole lives?

I have had them since they were day old chicks. They were my first chickens. :)

They are 15months thru 2years. My whole life I have been taught chickens are livestock so no keeping them as pets. and I don't mind.
