Easter Eggers are typically good layers, but they aren't rare. They are a mix intended for colored eggs.

Just wondering what is this chick lacking?True Ameraucanas only have slate legs, come in certain color varieties, always lay a blue egg, always have muffs and a beard, always have a pea comb,
Easter Eggers generally have green legs, can have any type of comb, can have muffs and a beard or lack one, lay blue, green, brown, or pink eggs, come in any color,
The correct coloring. When it matures the legs may get greener.Just wondering what is this chick lacking?
Also look at the color pattern. I can't really tell from the pics you posted, and she may still change feathers, but true Ameraucanas only come in specific colors. Easter Eggers are mixed breeds, generally bred for muffs/beards and colored eggs but nothing is guaranteed. There are plenty of EE that lay a brown or white egg and have clean faces. That doesn't diminish their value as a layer, but there is a big difference between the Ameraucana breed and EE as a mixed breed. Also definitely price can tell you. I paid $5 for my 6 week old EE pullet, and $20/ea for 10 week old blue wheaten Ameraucana pullets.Just wondering what is this chick lacking?
Gorgeous coloring! This is my favorite little EE girlView attachment 1533457
$5How much did you pay for this chick?
Unsexed day old true Ameraucana chicks go for $10-$20. Pullets and cockerels go for more. I paid $35 for each of my true Ameraucana pullets.
