Hi, Like everyone on this forum, we are experiencing extreme heat and humidity here in S.E. Louisiana. I decided to try to do something about it and attempt to give our girls a little relief. This is what I have done so far.
Installed shade cloth over part of open run that is adjacent to part of our run that is roofed. Hopefully this will help block some of the setting sun and help cut down on sunlight reaching the enclosed portion.
Here is are of enclosed run...has roof over it. Installed a fan with mist ring kit attached to it with cable ties and tied it all into our water supply. I am hoping this will help bring the temp down somewhat in the enclosed area.
Here is a close up of the 6 nozzle mist system my wife got for $30.00 and the fan I attached it to that I picked up yesterday from HD for $32.00. Sure hope it helps.
