Tim From West Virginia-
Hi, Backyard Chicken folks.
I have been trying to find quality Cream Brabanter chicks everywhere.
Can anyone help me out?
I currently raise SL Wyandottes [16] (My "Super Chickens") and OEG Fowl [12] (I really like the OEG's- fantastic "mommies"!)
I prefer only the most cold hardy breeds because of where I live and my 80 yo Mom wants some white eggs for cooking.
I'd really appreciate some help.
Thanks to all.

Looks like Kelsie has you on a good path for learning.

Great to have you aboard and enjoy BYC!

Thank-You, Kelsie. I appreciate the welcome. I must admit I'm new to this whole internet
thing"- service just became available to me a few weeks ago. Does your message mean you have Brabanters?
It's such a terrible morning here (Ice, snow and COLD) that's it's hard to imagine spring is almost here...

I guess I should add that this whole "chicken thing" began because my Mom wanted fresh eggs.
I never imagined I would enjoy it so much. Thank-you all for your help.

Good Morning,
Spring is nearly here in the mountains and I'll be ready for some Cream Brabanters around the end of April.
I have some fertile eggs coming in a month from Florida but still need some of a separate blood line.
In your post you implied that "you had me covered". If that is still true, please get a hold of me with any details you can provide me.
I can't believe how many chickens I have now! My OEG hens are busy at work and hatching chicks daily! The OEG's are my tick & bug patrol
and I just love them. My SL Wy's are laying steadily and making everyone happy with beautiful eggs.

Thank-You so very much.

Well "Chicken Folks", I have my first batch Cream Brabanter eggs (8) in the incubator. It's day 9 and all are well and developing beautifully! I also located a gentleman in Florida who is shipping me 12 Bra chicks next month. So, I'm covered on my quest. I'm a bit disappointed that BYC wasn't very helpful as I searched. Thanks, just the same. Time to build another coop...
