Trying to tell when my bantams will start laying

They are 6.5 months old, first time raising chickens trying to determine when they’ll start laying. Thanks

I think they start laying at 28 weeks old?? Not sure though cause I've never owned chickens, just read about them.

Are they cochins? My experience with cochins is they take longer than usual to start laying. When their faces start to turn red, and their combs and wattles get big and red, that's usually a sigh they are at their point of lay

Yes they are 3 mottled cochins and 3 Easter eggers i read they were slow to mature but i was just wondering if there was like behaviors they start to do when they were about to start laying

Their combs will get much redder.
They may get more vocal and 'agitated'.
They may dig around in the nests(put fake eggs in there).
