TSC Chick Days what breeds?

If you look at that form, the delivery address is your address, not Tractor Supply. And the minimum is 25 birds. I don’t know what TSC charges if you order through them, but I’d just order direct from the hatchery unless ordering through TSC gives you a reduced volume discount somehow.

In the past some feed stores would let you order a small number of chicks that would be delivered to the store so you could beat the hatchery minimum order requirement. My local TSC never would do that when I asked about it, you could order through them but it was exactly like the above, 25 birds delivered to your post office. I generally don’t use the other feed stores, none are all that convenient. It doesn’t hurt to ask but I don’t know that it does any good to argue if they say they don’t do it.

I’d never heard of Hoover in Iowa, but Privett in New Mexico and Townline in Michigan are at least familiar. They’ve all three been around a long time which to me means they know what they are doing. I don’t know if I’ll remember it but that’s interesting information. Since mine used Privett last year, they probably will again. And I’ll probably ask again.

Thanks for sharing. It’s good to get information from someone with inside information.

Correct -- special order is 25 or more birds. BUT, good news is that TSC will be able to sell birds online in a quantity of 10 this year, coming from Hoover's! That is coming soon ...

On the search for wyandottes.. Local hardware had them and by the time we got there only had 3 left... Snatched them up... at 3.99 each. Husband went to TSC and asked, the salesmen was great, Said just order from the website. So came home and ordered 10 straight run and 10 females for a total of $58.83. Says they only ship on Tuesdays and will ship to my post office. Waiting on the shipping information. Also money pending debit in my account... Hopefully this works out well. Will keep everyone posted on the process. Hope this helps.

Well order shipped on Tuesday and arrived today..(Thursday). All 21 (only ordered 20) chicks fat and fluffy. All doing well. I would recommend ordering on line from TSC... So far a very good experience.

We are in Central Florida. Our Chicks come from Hoovers Hatchery who are in Iowa. I will say our chicks are nice and healthy. We did loose 4 but that was our fault. Had one of our brooders to hot. We got 10 females and 10 as straight run. Looks like we will have only 4 roos, So super excited. Not sure it matters where your TLC is located. What breed are you thinking of getting?
Oh and welcome this place is awesome.

Agree, it varies. Ours had a lot of golden sexlinks, and very few other breeds - local feed stores tended to have a better selection. They usually have a list of which chicks will be arriving when, so you can choose and plan.

I work at a TSC store and we will mostly have red/amber/black sexlinks, Rhoad Island Reds, and Cornish cross meat chickens. Sometimes Barred Rocks, and bantams. They don't say what breeds, mostly mixed bins of bantams. Sometimes silkies though it's rare. Sometimes leghorns though it is rare as well.
