I purchased 8 black chicks labeled “barred rock pullets” 3 weeks ago. They are feathering out differently than I expected 😂 Here I have added a photo of 3 of them. Anyone have these?

The first two probably are but the third one is something else.
Near the bottom of the following page are pictures of several varieties of Plymouth rock chicks including barred.

That link is helpful, thank you! I wonder if the last one with the brown feathering is a partridge rock. The chicks look more brown in the link, but once feathered out there certainly are looking similar. So maybe this bin was several different types of Plymouth rocks? Not mentioned before, one of the chicks I didn’t add a photo of has 5 toes. And another one is now clearly a bantam size but with 4 toes. This has been a fun experience 🤣

Unless it is a flaw, the 5 toed chicks must be either silkie, houdan, sultan, dorking or faverolle. Do any have tufts of feathers beginning on their heads?
Did the TSC have an employee supervising the chick brooders or were customers able to handle them?

No tufts forming. Some of their tails stick out similar to leghorns, but I think that’s too soon to tell.

TSC had a cage around the chicks with only employee entry. I first realized I might have a mix up when I noticed the 5 toe chick the next day. I went back into TSC and they had the same bin/label but very different looking black and white chicks with a spot on their head inside the bin. At that point I scratched the possibility of barred rocks seeing no spot on the heads of my chicks.

Then likely a Silkie since they don't show the head feathers as soon or possibly it is a Dorking.
Chick pictures are always at the bottom of these pages. The Faverolles and Sultans would have feathered feet.
Silkie chicks are on a separate page.

Updated photos of one now that it’s looking more gold. 4 weeks old. I thought maybe Partridge Rock, but this one has grey legs. From what I read, Partridge Rocks have yellow legs.
