Barred Rocks tend to reveal themselves early on if they are male. How old are the chickens you just got?

This BR is one of original and is about 10 weeks. Personality is aloof, loner and skiddish. So far, slow to be held.

At 10 weeks the comb on a BR rooster would be showing a lot of red and getting large.
Could still be a hen easily if the comb is only pink or still uncolored.
