It would be best to work on teaching them to go in. If there were a heavy dew or an unexpected thunderstorm they could catch cold and die. You need to go out and put them in the coop each night for about a week. It also helps to have a light in the coop for a few nights that turns on before dusk so as it grows dark outside they feel invited to go in. You can turn it off after they are all in.
